WHAT IS PROPERTY TAX

Property Tax is the tax levied on property in Pasir Gudang City Council’s area as follows:-

- Residence (flats, apartment, condominium, terrace, bungalow, shop lots and others)
- Company Business Tax (shops, factories, petrol station, warehouses, hotels, cinemas, workshop, office building and others).
- Vacant Land.

WHY IT IS BEING TAX?

Property tax being imposed to funds:-

- Building and maintenance Public facility such as public toilet, bus station, children playground, recreational park, markets, and others.
- Cleaning housing/businesses, factories, parks and public area.
- Building and maintenance infrastructure such as road and, drainages.
- Preparation and maintenance of public lights.
- Development area in Council area.

WHEN IS THE SETTLEMENT DATE?

Property Tax is being imposed twice a year. Payment is claimed for:-

-  Claim for 1st half year ended (1 January - 30 June)
-  Claim for 2nd half year ended (1 July - 31 December). 

HOW TO MAKE PAYMENT FOR OWNERS WHO LIVES OUTSIDE PASIR GUDANG? 

Payment can be settled through cheque or postal order of the Pasir Gudang City Council’s name with name, phone number, postal address and account no written behind the cheque. Please insert bill or details of old assessment tax if it is related. 

Owner can go to any Counter in Council’s office or any branches to make payment..
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF TAX IS NOT SETTLED WITHIN TIME FRAME?

WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU HAVE SOLD/CHANGE OWNERSHIP/INHERIT A BUILDING/LAND

Fill up Form 1 (change ownership form) at legal office.
