WORLD TOWN PLANNING DAY 2015

"Making Cities Resilient"

World Town Planning Day [WTPD) is celebrated on 8th November each year in nearly 30 countries worldwide. In Malaysia, it has become an annual event since 1988, celebrated by the planning fraternity and spearheaded by the Federal Department of Town and Country Planning Malaysia. The aims are to recognise and promote the role of town and urban planners in the planning and development of the country, and to bring the planning fraternity and the general public together. W TPD also presents a opportunity to look at planning from the global perspective and the role of town and urban planners in addressing future urbanization and development challenges.
